Casual Carpool
A stranger drives me to work every day. I don’t have to wait for the bus, and I only offer the driver a dollar for the toll instead of the four dollar fare that the bus would be. I get to read quietly, and the driver gets the speediness of the carpool lane through the Bay Bridge tolls and gets the reduced bridge toll for carpoolers.
Seems crazy, I know, but I love it.
